Conversation Connection es una clase de ingl\u00e9s conversacional que provee m\u00e1s que instrucci\u00f3n de idioma. Es un lugar c\u00f3modo y privado para practicar el ingl\u00e9s, disfrutar un caf\u00e9, y hacer nuevos amigos. Immigrant Connection of the High Country offers citizenship preparation classes to assist adult learners with the successful completion of their naturalization process. These classes focus on the English literacy and civics knowledge needed for passing the test, as well as information about their rights and responsibilities as American citizens.\u00a0 Class time includes mock interviews, vocabulary practice, and custom curriculum to ensure success. As a native Brazilian, Teka has lived in South America, Africa, and Central Asia. After 8 years of calling California home, she now lives in Boone, NC along with her husband and daughters. She has loved languages and cultures for as long as she can remember. As an immigrant herself, Teka has had experience with learning and teaching English as a second language, going through the immigration process, and learning how to adapt to new cultures and countries.<\/p>\n

She loves the classroom and teaching literature and language to students of all ages. A high school English teacher by trade, Amy has her B.S. in English, Secondary Education from Appalachian State University. She also received Master\u2019s Degrees in Theological Studies and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Columbia International University.<\/span><\/p>\n

Amy and her husband, David, are pleased to call the mountains of Appalachia home, and along with their three sons, they enjoy serving internationals in any way.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
